Sometimes you just gotta dance

I really don't even need music to dance.  Sometimes I just feel the music.

Turkey Trot

The only thing I like more than running is dancing, so you can imagine how excited I was to go out dancing Saturday night.  I picked up a couple of new moves from some other kids, but the backbone of my routine is totally original - Daddy calls it the "Turkey Trot."

Lazy River

So they had this thing called a Lazy River, and it was pretty sweet.  I had my own little baby boat with a covered bottom.  I am not actually sleeping in this picture - I was taking turns wearing Mommy and Daddy's sunglasses and pretend relaxing.  I put on the glasses, then leaned back and said , "ahhhhhh."  This is the life.

Running

Mommy, Daddy and I went on a little vacation this past weekend, and it was so much fun it will require several posts for me to show you everything that we did in just three days.  First of all, I got to be REALLY good at running.  And I LIKE it.

One morning, Mommy and I were sitting on our patio, enjoying a milk and a latte, when I saw a couple of grown-ups jogging.  I turned and asked Mommy, "Running?"  Mommy said, "Yes, they're running.  Do you want to go running?"  I thought about it for a second (a very short second), and said, "Yes."  So we went inside and strapped on our running shoes.

We encountered some really cool stuff on our little adventure.  First, I saw a field mouse having a snack in a garden near our room.  Luckily, we have a book at home called "What Do You Say?", so I knew exactly what to say to a field mouse.  I leaned towards him and quietly said, "Eek, eek, eek."  He looked at me for a minute, and I think he smiled before he scurried off into the bushes.

We kept walking, and I found all kinds of cool stuff.  Thank goodness I was wearing my pocket shorts to hold it all.  I had at least three pecans, and two really pretty leaves.  You can see the leaves in my hands in the picture above - in my left hand is a big green leaf and in my right is a small yellow leaf.  Daddy came outside to meet us, and he took this picture as I was running to show him everything I found. (The picture is a little fuzzy because the camera fogged up as Daddy came out from the air conditioning.)

Reading

I got a thank you card from one of my teachers at school, and tonight after dinner I read it to Mommy and Reba.  Don't ask me why I am turning the card as I read it.  If you don't know, I'm not going to explain it to you.
